Lebanese officials announced on Saturday that eight people have been killed in Israeli airstrikes in southern Lebanon. Additionally, a highway in southern Beirut was targeted in the air raid.

These new attacks occurred despite a three-week ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah, the group supported by [the Islamic Republic of] Iran; a ceasefire that has had little effect on halting the daily exchange of fire, primarily in southern Lebanon.

Hezbollah announced on Saturday that in response to the ongoing attacks, it targeted Israeli forces in the north of the country with a drone.

مقام‌های لبنانی روز شنبه اعلام کردند که در حملات هوایی اسرائیل به جنوب لبنان، هشت نفر کشته شده‌اند. همچنین بزرگراهی در جنوب بیروت هدف حمله هوایی قرار گرفت.

این حملات تازه با وجود آتش‌بس سه‌هفته‌ای میان اسرائیل و حزب‌الله، گروه مورد حمایت [جمهوری اسلامی در] ایران، انجام شد؛ آتش‌بسی که تأثیر چندانی در توقف تبادل روزانه آتش، عمدتاً در جنوب لبنان، نداشته است.

حزب‌الله روز شنبه اعلام کرد که در واکنش به ادامه حملات، نیروهای اسرائیلی در شمال این کشور را با پهپاد هدف قرار داده است.
