The U.S. Central Command announced on Wednesday, May 12, that it will continue the maritime blockade of Iranian ports, stating that since the beginning of this operation, 15 ships carrying humanitarian aid have been allowed to pass.

CENTCOM wrote in a message on X that over the past four weeks, U.S. forces have forced 67 commercial ships to change course and have disabled four vessels to enforce the blockade.

This command also reported that earlier this week, two more commercial ships changed their course after radio contact and warning shots fired by U.S. forces, deciding against continuing their journey toward Iranian ports.

ستاد فرماندهی مرکزی ایالات متحده روز چهارشنبه ۲۳ اردیبهشت با تاکید بر ادامه محاصره دریایی بنادر ایران اعلام کرد که از زمان آغاز این عملیات، به ۱۵ کشتی حامل کمک‌های بشردوستانه اجازه عبور داده شده است.

سنتکام در پیامی در شبکه ایکس نوشت که نیروهای آمریکایی طی چهار هفته گذشته ۶۷ کشتی تجاری را وادار به تغییر مسیر کرده و چهار شناور را نیز برای اجرای محاصره «از کار انداخته‌اند».

این فرماندهی همچنین اعلام کرد اوایل هفته جاری، دو کشتی تجاری دیگر پس از تماس رادیویی و شلیک تیر هشدار از سوی نیروهای آمریکایی مسیر خود را تغییر داده و از ادامه حرکت به سمت بنادر ایران منصرف شدند.
