The White House announced that Donald Trump and Xi Jinping agreed in Beijing that Iran should never acquire nuclear weapons and that the Strait of Hormuz must remain open.

The U.S. described the two-hour conversation as "good" and stated that the two leaders are working to strengthen economic cooperation.

In the White House statement, President Xi also expressed his "interest" in purchasing more American oil to reduce China's dependence on the Strait of Hormuz.

It was also mentioned that executives from some of the largest American companies were present during part of this meeting.

They also discussed the importance of ending the influx of raw materials for the production of the drug fentanyl into the U.S.

کاخ سفید اعلام کرد که دونالد ترامپ و شی جین‌پینگ، در پکن توافق کردند که ایران هرگز نباید به سلاح هسته‌ای دست پیدا کند و تنگه هرمز باید باز بماند.

آمریکا این گفت‌وگوی دو ساعته را «خوب» توصیف کرده و می‌گوید که دو رهبر در حال تلاش برای تقویت همکاری‌های اقتصادی هستند.

در بیانیه کاخ سفید، رئیس‌جمهور شی همچنین «علاقه‌مندی خود را» برای خرید بیشتر نفت آمریکا ابراز کرد تا وابستگی چین به تنگه هرمز را کاهش دهد.

همچنین گفته شد که مدیران برخی از بزرگ‌ترین شرکت‌های آمریکایی هم در بخشی از این دیدار حضور داشتند.

آن‌ها همچنین درباره اهمیت پایان دادن به ورود مواد اولیه برای ساخت ماده مخدر فنتانیل به آمریکا هم صحبت کردند.
