Abbas Araghchi, the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic, reacted to the rise in energy prices in the U.S. by writing on X: "Right now, set aside the rising gasoline prices and the stock market bubble. The real pain begins when America's debt and mortgage rates start to surge." He noted that the current level of inability to repay auto loans has reached its highest point in over 30 years, but all of this was avoidable.

عباس عراقچی، وزیر خارجه جمهوری اسلامی، در واکنش به بالا رفتن قیمت انرژی در آمریکا، در ایکس نوشت: «در حال حاضر، افزایش قیمت بنزین و حباب بازار سهام را کنار بگذارید. درد واقعی زمانی آغاز میشود که بدهی آمریکا و نرخ وامهای مسکن شروع به جهش کنند.»
او نوشت همین حالا هم میزان ناتوانی در بازپرداخت وام خودرو به بالاترین سطح خود در بیش از ۳۰ سال گذشته رسیده است، اما تمام اینها قابل اجتناب بود.
