Hamid Tizroyan, a wildlife photographer and environmental activist, has been arrested in Sari.

According to Zeynab Rahimi, an environmental journalist, Mr. Tizroyan was arrested on May 3, 2026, and his mobile phone and other electronic devices have been confiscated.

The charge against Mr. Tizroyan is "collusion and conspiracy with the intent to act against national security." His arrest follows the publication of critical content regarding the killing of protesters in December and also protests against executions on social media.

Mr. Tizroyan is one of the prominent and well-known wildlife photographers, and capturing rare photographs of Iran's wildlife, including the brown bear and the maral as endangered species, is part of this wildlife photographer's portfolio.

حامد تیزرویان، عکاس حیات‌وحش و فعال محیط زیست، در ساری بازداشت شده است.

به گفته زینب رحیمی، روزنامه‌نگار حوزه محیط زیست، آقای تیزرویان روز ۱۴ اردیبهشت ۱۴۰۵، بازداشت شده و موبایل و دیگر وسایل الکترونیکی او ضبط شده است.

اتهام مطرح‌شده علیه آقای تیزرویان «اجتماع و تبانی با هدف اقدام علیه امنیت ملی» عنوان شده است.
بازداشت او در پی انتشار مطالبی انتقادی درباره کشتار معترضان در دی‌ماه و همچنین اعتراض به اعدام‌ها در شبکه‌های اجتماعی صورت گرفته است.

آقای تیزرویان از عکاسان برجسته و سرشناس حیات وحش است و ثبت عکس‌های کمیاب از حیات وحش ایران از جمله خرس قهوه‌ای و مرال به عنوان گونه‌های‌ در معرض خطر انقراض، بخشی از کارنامه کاری این عکاس حیات وحش است.
