Faisal bin Farhan, the Foreign Minister of Saudi Arabia, wrote that Riyadh appreciates the U.S. President's decision to give another chance for negotiations with the Islamic Republic to reach an agreement that would end the war and restore security and freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz to the status before March 1, 2025.

He also praised Pakistan's ongoing efforts to mediate in this regard and wrote on platform X that Saudi Arabia hopes the Islamic Republic will seize this opportunity to prevent "dangerous consequences of escalating tensions" and respond promptly to efforts to advance negotiations.

The Saudi Foreign Minister added that the aim of these efforts is to achieve a comprehensive agreement that ensures lasting peace in the region and the world.

فیصل بن فرحان، وزیر خارجه عربستان سعودی، نوشت ریاض از تصمیم رییس‌جمهوری آمریکا برای دادن فرصت دوباره به مذاکرات با جمهوری اسلامی به‌منظور دستیابی به توافقی که به پایان جنگ و بازگشت امنیت و آزادی کشتیرانی در تنگه هرمز به وضعیت پیش از ۹ اسفند ۱۴۰۴ منجر شود، قدردانی می‌کند.

او همچنین از تلاش‌های مستمر پاکستان برای میانجی‌گری در این زمینه تقدیر کرد و در شبکه ایکس نوشت عربستان سعودی امیدوار است جمهوری اسلامی از این فرصت برای جلوگیری از «پیامدهای خطرناک تشدید تنش» استفاده کرده و فورا به تلاش‌ها برای پیشبرد مذاکرات پاسخ دهد.

وزیر خارجه عربستان سعودی افزود هدف از این تلاش‌ها، دستیابی به توافقی جامع است که صلح پایدار در منطقه و جهان را محقق کند.
