Mahdi Kabi-Zadeh, a 47-year-old citizen and father of a daughter, was arrested during the protests in December in Khuzestan province and died after being transferred to a medical center due to a lack of treatment. He has a daughter named Halma.

According to information received by Iran International from sources close to his family, Mahdi Kabi-Zadeh was arrested by security forces during the protests in Ahvaz and was then transferred to the hospital and hospitalized due to blood and intestinal diseases. However, hospital officials refused to provide adequate care and treatment due to his history of participation in the protests and his arrest, which led to his death.

مهدی کابی‌زاده، شهروند ۴۷ ساله و پدر یک دختر بود که در اعتراضات دی‌ماه در استان خوزستان بازداشت و پس از انتقال به مرکز درمانی به دلیل منع رسیدگی جان باخت. او دختری به نام حلما دارد.

بر اساس اطلاعات رسیده به ایران اینترنشنال از افراد مطلع از خانواده او، مهدی کابی‌زاده در اعتراضات اهواز به دست ماموران بازداشت شد و سپس به دلیل بیماری خونی و روده به بیمارستان منتقل و بستری شد. با این حال، مسئولان بیمارستان به دلیل سابقه حضور او در اعتراضات و بازداشتش از رسیدگی و درمان کافی خودداری کردند که موجب جان باختن او شد.
