Reuters reported, citing two senior sources in the Iranian government, that Mojtaba Khamenei, the leader of the Islamic Republic, has ordered that high-enriched uranium reserves must not leave Iran.

According to these sources, this directive has hardened Tehran's position against one of the main demands of the U.S. in negotiations to end the war between the U.S. and Israel against the Islamic Republic.

Israeli officials have also told Reuters that Donald Trump assured Israel that any potential agreement must include the removal of enriched uranium reserves from Iran.

One Iranian source told Reuters that the leader of the Islamic Republic's directive and the consensus within the governing structure is that enriched uranium reserves should not leave the country.

According to Reuters sources, officials of the Islamic Republic believe that transferring these materials abroad would make the Islamic Republic more vulnerable to potential future attacks from the U.S. and Israel.

خبرگزاری رویترز به نقل از دو منبع ارشد در حکومت ایران گزارش داد مجتبی خامنه‌ای، رهبر جمهوری اسلامی، دستور داده ذخایر اورانیوم با غنای بالا نباید از ایران خارج شود.

به گفته این منابع، این دستور موضع تهران را در برابر یکی از اصلی‌ترین خواسته‌های آمریکا در مذاکرات برای پایان دادن به جنگ آمریکا و اسرائیل علیه جمهوری اسلامی سخت‌تر کرده است.

مقام‌های اسرائیلی نیز به رویترز گفته‌اند دونالد ترامپ به اسرائیل اطمینان داده هر توافق احتمالی باید شامل خروج ذخایر اورانیوم غنی‌شده از ایران باشد.

یکی از منابع ایرانی به رویترز گفت دستور رهبر جمهوری اسلامی و اجماع در ساختار حاکمیت این است که ذخایر اورانیوم غنی‌شده نباید از کشور خارج شود.

به گفته منابع رویترز، مقام‌های جمهوری اسلامی معتقدند انتقال این مواد به خارج، جمهوری اسلامی را در برابر حملات احتمالی آینده آمریکا و اسرائیل آسیب‌پذیرتر می‌کند.
