Anwar Gargash, senior advisor to the President of the United Arab Emirates, says that some of Iran's behaviors in recent years have led to a decrease in trust among the countries of the Gulf region.

In a message on the social media platform X, he wrote that the countries in the region have faced "bullying and threatening behaviors" from Iran for many years; behaviors that have become part of the political reality of the Gulf.

Mr. Gargash also emphasized that the gap between Iran's aggressive positions and its claims of friendship has led to a loss of trust and credibility, stating, "And today, after Iran's brutal aggression, the Iranian government is trying to establish a new reality that has emerged from a clear military defeat; however, attempts to control the Strait of Hormuz or infringe upon the maritime sovereignty of the United Arab Emirates are nothing but fantasies and unattainable wishes."

انور قرقاش، مشاور ارشد رئیس دولت امارات متحده عربی، می‌گوید که برخی رفتارهای ایران در سال‌های گذشته باعث کاهش اعتماد میان کشورهای منطقه خلیج فارس شده است.

او در پیامی در شبکه اجتماعی ایکس نوشت که کشورهای منطقه طی سال‌های طولانی با «رفتارهای زورگویانه و تهدیدآمیز» ایران روبه‌رو بوده‌اند؛ رفتارهایی که به بخشی از واقعیت سیاسی خلیج فارس تبدیل شده است.

آقای قرقاش همچنین تاکید کرد که شکاف میان مواضع تند و ادعاهای دوستی از سوی ایران، باعث از بین رفتن اعتماد و اعتبار شده است «و امروز، پس از تجاوز وحشیانه ایران، حکومت ایران تلاش می‌کند واقعیت تازه‌ای را که از یک شکست آشکار نظامی به‌وجود آمده تثبیت کند؛ اما تلاش برای کنترل تنگه هرمز یا تعرض به حاکمیت دریایی امارات متحده عربی چیزی جز خیال‌پردازی و آرزوهای دست‌نیافتنی نیست.»
