Fars News Agency, affiliated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, quoted a knowledgeable source close to the negotiating team, emphasizing that if the U.S. does not show flexibility, the negotiations will fail. It stated that the nuclear issue, blocked funds, and the Islamic Republic's control over the Strait of Hormuz are three serious points of contention in the negotiations.

Fars reported that Tehran has announced it will not enter negotiations on the nuclear issue during this round. It will only discuss nuclear matters in the next round if the opposing side implements trust-building conditions.

The IRGC-affiliated media quoted this source as saying: "Blocked funds must be deposited; the second and fundamental condition for Tehran's entry into negotiations is that the blocked funds are first deposited and released. Without this happening, we will not enter negotiations at all."

It further stated: "Another disagreement is over the passage of ships in the Strait of Hormuz. The U.S. insists that the Strait must return completely to its previous conditions, but Tehran says it will only commit to restoring the number of ships to the previous status. This means that the Iranian government will determine the number of ships allowed to pass according to its own model."

خبرگزاری فارس، وابسته به سپاه پاسداران، به نقل از یک منبع آگاه و نزدیک به تیم مذاکره‌کننده، با تاکید بر اینکه اگر آمریکا انعطاف نشان ندهد، مذاکره شکست می‌خورد نوشت که موضوع هسته‌ای، پول‌های بلوکه‌شده و کنترل جمهوری اسلامی بر تنگه هرمز، سه موضوع اختلاف جدی در مذاکرات است.

فارس نوشت که تهران اعلام کرده که در این دوره وارد مذاکره درباره موضوع هسته‌ای نمی‌شود. تنها در صورتی که طرف مقابل شرایط اعتمادساز را اجرا کند، در دور بعد درباره مسائل هسته‌ای صحبت خواهد شد.

رسانه سپاه به نقل از این منبع نوشت: «پول‌‌های بلوکه‌شده باید واریز شود؛ شرط دوم و اساسی برای ورود تهران به مذاکره این است که پول‌های بلوکه‌شده ابتدا واریز و آزاد شوند. بدون این اتفاق، اساسا وارد مذاکره نمی‌شویم.»

در ادامه آمده است: «اختلاف دیگر بر سر نحوه عبور کشتی‌ها در تنگه هرمز است. آمریکا تاکید دارد که تنگه باید کاملا به شرایط پیشین بازگردد، اما تهران می‌گوید فقط خود را متعهد می‌کند که تعداد کشتی‌ها به وضعیت قبل بازگردد. معنای این حرف آن است که حکومت ایران با مدل خود، تعداد کشتی‌های مجاز برای عبور را تعیین می‌کند.»
