Fars, a news agency affiliated with the IRGC, reacted to Donald Trump's message, the President of the United States, regarding the approach to an agreement with Iran and the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, stating: "This claim is also far from reality."

Fars continued: "Contrary to Donald Trump's recent claims on the social media platform Truth Social about the Strait of Hormuz returning to its previous status and preparations for signing an agreement, investigations by Fars reporters indicate that this claim is also far from reality; as per the latest exchanged text, in the event of a potential agreement, the Strait of Hormuz will still be under Iran's management. Although Iran has agreed to allow the number of passing ships to return to pre-war levels, this does not mean free passage to the pre-war status, and the management of the Strait, determining the route, timing, manner of passage, and issuing permits will still be exclusively under the control and discretion of the Islamic Republic of Iran."

The IRGC news agency further claimed that contrary to Trump's previous conditions regarding the inclusion of the nuclear program in the agreement, "no commitments have been made by Iran, and the nuclear file has not been discussed at this stage."

Fars also claimed that "American officials in multiple messages to Iran have acknowledged that Trump's tweets are mainly for promotional purposes and media consumption within the United States and have advised that these statements should not be taken seriously."

فارس، خبرگزاری وابسته به سپاه، در واکنش به پیام دونالد ترامپ، رئیس‌جمهوری آمریکا مبنی بر نزدیک شدن به توافق با ایران و بازگشایی تنگه هرمز نوشت: «این ادعا نیز با واقعیت‌ها فاصله دارد».

فارس در ادامه نوشت: «برخلاف ادعای لحظات قبل دونالد ترامپ در شبکه اجتماعی تروث سوشال مبنی بر بازگشت تنگه هرمز به وضعیت پیشین و آماده‌سازی برای امضای توافق‌نامه، پیگیری‌های خبرنگار فارس نشان می‌دهد که این ادعا نیز با واقعیت‌ها فاصله دارد؛ چرا که بر اساس آخرین متن ردوبدل‌شده، در صورت توافق احتمالی، تنگه هرمز کماکان تحت مدیریت ایران خواهد بود و اگرچه ایران موافقت کرده اجازه دهد تعداد کشتی‌های عبوری به میزان قبل از جنگ بازگردد، اما این به‌هیچ‌عنوان به معنای تردد آزاد به وضعیت قبل از جنگ نیست و مدیریت تنگه، تعیین مسیر، زمان، نحوه عبور و صدور مجوز، کماکان در انحصار و با تدبیر جمهوری اسلامی ایران خواهد بود.»

خبرگزاری سپاه در ادامه مدعی شد که برخلاف شروط پیشین ترامپ مبنی بر گنجاندن برنامه هسته‌ای در توافق، «هیچ تعهدی از سوی ایران داده نشده و پرونده هسته‌ای اساسا در این مرحله مورد بحث قرار نگرفته است.»

فارس همچنین ادعا کرد که «مقامات آمریکایی در پیغام‌های متعدد به ایران اذعان داشته‌اند که توییت‌های ترامپ عمدتا جنبه تبلیغاتی و مصرف رسانه‌ای در داخل آمریکا دارد و توصیه کرده‌اند که به این اظهارات توجهی نشود».
