The Mizan news agency, affiliated with the judiciary of the Islamic Republic, announced that Mojtaba Kian has been executed on charges of sending information about defense industry production centers to the "American-Zionist enemy."

The judiciary claims that Kian, during what officials of the Islamic Republic refer to as the "Ramadan War," sent information and coordinates of units related to the production of defense industry components via messages to networks linked to Israel and the United States.

Mizan has claimed that technical investigations showed that three days after this information was sent, the mentioned location was targeted and completely destroyed. The judiciary stated that the case of this defendant was handled in the judiciary of Alborz province, and his sentence was carried out after being confirmed by the Supreme Court.

According to the court's ruling, Mojtaba Kian was sentenced to death and the confiscation of all his assets. خبرگزاری میزان، وابسته به قوه قضائیه جمهوری اسلامی، اعلام کرد مجتبی کیان به اتهام ارسال اطلاعات مراکز تولید صنایع دفاعی به «دشمن آمریکایی ـ صهیونیستی» اعدام شده است.

قوه قضائیه مدعی شده کیان در جریان آنچه مقام‌های جمهوری اسلامی «جنگ رمضان» می‌نامند، اطلاعات و مختصات واحدهای مرتبط با تولید قطعات صنایع دفاعی را از طریق پیام به شبکه‌های وابسته به اسرائیل و آمریکا ارسال کرده بود.

میزان مدعی شده بررسی‌های فنی نشان داده سه روز پس از ارسال این اطلاعات، محل مورد اشاره هدف حمله قرار گرفته و به‌طور کامل تخریب شده است. قوه قضائیه گفته پرونده این متهم در دادگستری استان البرز رسیدگی شد و حکم او پس از تأیید دیوان عالی کشور اجرا شد.

بر اساس رأی دادگاه، مجتبی کیان به اعدام و مصادره کلیه اموال محکوم شده بود. میزان همچنین نوشت از زمان بازداشت تا اجرای حکم کمتر از ۵۰ روز زمان گذشته است؛ موضوعی که پرسش‌های جدی درباره سرعت رسیدگی، امکان دفاع مؤثر و فرصت اعتراض در پرونده‌ای با مجازات اعدام ایجاد می‌کند.
