Fars News Agency, close to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, reported on Sunday, May 24, that regarding a potential agreement between the Islamic Republic and the United States, "the draft of the potential agreement between Iran and the U.S. does not include any clause about Iran's nuclear commitments, and all issues related to the nuclear program have been postponed to a 60-day negotiation period after the signing of the agreement."

Fars further emphasized that "Iran has no commitment in this agreement to relinquish its nuclear reserves, remove equipment, shut down facilities, or even commit to not building a nuclear bomb."

This comes as The New York Times, citing two U.S. officials, reported that one of the key elements of the proposed agreement between Washington and Tehran is Iran's clear commitment to relinquishing its highly enriched uranium reserves.

Tasnim News Agency, affiliated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, wrote that reports on the details of the "potential" initial understanding indicate that Washington will commit to lifting Iran's oil sanctions during the negotiation period, and the Islamic Republic has not accepted any actions in the nuclear field at this time.

The report added that if this memorandum is agreed upon, part of the frozen assets of the Iranian government must be released in the first step.

خبرگزاری فارس، نزدیک به سپاه پاسداران روز یکشنبه سوم خرداد با اشاره به توافق احتمالی میان جمهوری اسلامی و آمریکا، نوشت: در پیش‌نویس توافق احتمالی ایران و آمریکا هیچ بندی درباره «تعهدات هسته‌ای ایران گنجانده نشده و تمام مسائل مرتبط با برنامه هسته‌ای به مذاکرات ۶۰ روزه پس‌از امضای توافق موکول شده است.»
فارس در ادامه تاکید کرده است که «ایران در این توافق هیچ تعهدی برای واگذاری ذخایر هسته‌ای، خروج تجهیزات، تعطیلی تأسیسات یا حتی تعهد به نساختن بمب هسته‌ای وجود ندارد.»
این در حالیست که نیویورک تایمز به نقل از دو مقام آمریکایی گزارش داد، یکی از عناصر کلیدی توافق پیشنهادی میان واشنگتن و تهران، تعهد آشکار ایران به واگذاری ذخایر اورانیوم با غنی‌سازی بالای خود است.

خبرگزاری تسنیم، وابسته به سپاه پاسداران، نوشت که شنیده‌ها از جزییات تفاهم اولیه «احتمالی»، حاکی است که واشینگتن متعهد خواهد شد در طول دوره مذاکرات، تحریم‌های نفتی ایران را به حالت اسقاط درآورد و جمهوری اسلامی در مقطع کنونی هیچ اقدامی را در حوزه هسته‌ای نپذیرفته است.
این گزارش افزود در صورتی که این تفاهم‌نامه مورد توافق قرار گیرد، بخشی از دارایی‌های بلوکه شده حکومت ایران باید در گام اول آزاد شود.
