The government news agency Tasnim reported on Sunday evening, June 3, citing the Tehran Revolutionary Court, that the initial ruling in the case known as "the Ekbatan kids" has been issued, with four of the "main defendants" sentenced to death for the charge of "corruption on earth."

According to Tasnim, the charges against nine defendants in this case, who were imprisoned due to the killing of "Arman Ali-Vardi," a pro-government Basij member, include "inflicting knife wounds, disturbing public order, widespread disruption of national security, conspiracy to commit crimes against internal security, distributing Molotov cocktails, inflicting stone blows on Arman Ali-Vardi, assaulting Arman Ali-Vardi, and propaganda activities against the regime."

Based on this report, the Tehran Revolutionary Court sentenced defendants numbered one to four in the case to death for the charge of "corruption on earth," while defendants numbered five to nine received prison sentences ranging from one to five years and additional penalties.

Branch 15 of the Tehran Revolutionary Court, presided over by Judge Abolqasem Salavati, sentenced four of the defendants in the "Ekbatan neighborhood" case to death for the charge of "corruption on earth," while the criminal court had previously stated that the attribution of murder to the defendants had not been definitively proven and that the possibility of issuing a retribution sentence was not available.

The Mizan news agency, affiliated with the judiciary of the Islamic Republic, attempted to justify the issuance of this ruling in a report on Sunday. According to this report, the case was handled in two parallel jurisdictions; the criminal court addressed the murder charges, while the Revolutionary Court dealt with security-related charges, including corruption on earth. Mizan claimed that after both the forensic medical commission and the intelligence department stated that it was impossible to determine who inflicted the fatal blow on Arman Ali-Vardi, the criminal court acquitted three of the defendants of participation in the murder and sentenced three others to pay blood money and imprisonment. However, in the parallel process, the Revolutionary Court sentenced the same defendants to death for the charge of corruption on earth.

According to the HRANA news agency, Milad Armon, Navid Najaran, Mehdi Imani, and Seyed Mohammad Mahdi Hosseini are the four individuals who have received death sentences. The other four defendants in this case, Amir Mohammad Khoshghab, Alireza Barmarzpournak, Alireza Kafayi, and Hossein Nemat, were each sentenced to five years in prison, two years of imprisonment for propaganda against the regime, two years of prohibition from activities in cyberspace, and two years of prohibition from residing in Tehran and Alborz.

خبرگزاری حکومتی تسنیم، شامگاه یکشنبه سوم خرداد ماه، به نقل از دادگاه انقلاب تهران اعلام کرد، رای اولیه پرونده موسوم به «بچه‌های اکباتان» صادر شده و طی آن چهار نفر از «متهمان اصلی» به اتهام «افساد فی‌الارض» به اعدام محکوم شده‌اند.

به گزارش تسنیم،  اتهامات ۹ نفر از متهمان این پرونده که به دلیل کشته شدن «آرمان علی‌وردی» بسیجی حامی حکومت زندانی شده‌اند مواردی چون  «وارد کردن ضربات چاقو،اخلال در نظم عمومی، اخلال گسترده در امنیت کشور، اجتماع و تبانی برای ارتکاب جرم علیه امنیت داخلی کشور، توزیع کوکتل مولوتف، وارد کردن ضربات سنگ به آرمان علی وردی، ضرب و شتم آرمان علی‌وردی و فعالیت تبلیغی علیه نظام» عنوان شده است.

بر اساس این گزارش، دادگاه انقلاب تهران متهمان ردیف اول تا چهارم پرونده را به اتهام «افساد فی‌الارض» به اعدام محکوم کرد و متهمان ردیف پنجم تا نهم نیز به حبس از یک تا پنج سال و مجازات‌های تکمیلی محکوم شدند.

شعبه ۱۵ دادگاه انقلاب تهران به ریاست قاضی ابوالقاسم صلواتی چهار تن از متهمان پرونده «شهرک اکباتان» را به اتهام «افسادفی‌الارض» به اعدام محکوم کرد؛ این در حالی است که دادگاه کیفری پیش‌تر اعلام کرده بود انتساب قتل به متهمان به‌صورت قطعی ثابت نشده و امکان صدور حکم قصاص وجود ندارد.

خبرگزاری میزان، وابسته به قوه قضاییه جمهوری اسلامی، روز یکشنبه در گزارشی تلاش کرد صدور این حکم را توجیه کند.
بر اساس این گزارش، رسیدگی به پرونده در دو مرجع موازی انجام شده؛ دادگاه کیفری به اتهام قتل رسیدگی کرد و دادگاه انقلاب به اتهامات امنیتی از جمله افساد فی‌الارض.
میزان مدعی شد که پس از آن‌که کمیسیون پزشکی قانونی و اداره آگاهی هر دو اعلام کردند تعیین فرد وارد کننده ضربه مرگبار به آرمان علی‌وردی ممکن نیست، دادگاه کیفری سه تن از متهمان را از اتهام مشارکت در قتل تبرئه و سه تن دیگر را به پرداخت دیه و حبس محکوم کرد. اما در مسیر موازی، دادگاه انقلاب همان متهمان را به اتهام افساد فی‌الارض به اعدام محکوم کرد.

به گزارش خبرگزاری هرانا، میلاد آرمون، نوید نجاران، مهدی ایمانی و سید محمدمهدی حسینی چهار نفری هستند که حکم اعدام برای آن‌ها صادر شده است.
چهار متهم دیگر این پرونده یعنی امیرمحمد خوش‌اقبال، علیرضا برمرزپورناک، علیرضا کفایی و حسین نعمتی نیز هر کدام به پنج سال زندان، دو سال حبس به اتهام تبلیغ علیه نظام، دو سال منع فعالیت در فضای مجازی و دو سال منع اسکان در تهران و البرز محکوم شدند.
