A U.S. official stated in an interview with Fox News that Washington has not yet reached a final agreement with Tehran and that no agreement will be signed today or tomorrow. This official emphasized that the U.S. will not yield to the demands of the other side, adding that President Donald Trump's desire and decision is to give negotiators another 5 to 7 days to bring the agreement to a final stage.

According to this report, a framework agreement with Iran has progressed to 95% by Sunday, and although both sides have reached an agreement on the general issues related to Tehran's nuclear stockpiles and the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, negotiations over the details and "precise wording" of the text of this memorandum are still ongoing.

Tasnim, the news agency affiliated with the Revolutionary Guards, reported on Sunday, citing "an informed source": "There is no optimism towards the U.S., and the exchange of messages through the Pakistani mediator is constantly conducted with a sense of skepticism towards the U.S. government."

Tasnim further quoted this source: "As of now, a final understanding has not been reached, and challenges in some clauses continue. However, even if an initial understanding is reached, it does not mean a change in Iran's view of the U.S. or assurance of this government's commitment to its obligations. The Americans have a very bad track record in negotiations, which reinforces and solidifies skepticism. Therefore, even if an understanding is reached, Iran will monitor U.S. actions throughout the process following the announcement of the understanding, and if the U.S. violates its commitments at that stage, Iran will retain its leverage to address that."
Tasnim had previously reported on "U.S. obstruction" in the clauses of the understanding, including the release of Iran's frozen assets, stating: "The possibility of the understanding being nullified still exists."

یک مقام رسمی ایالات متحده در گفتگو با شبکه «فاکس‌نیوز» اعلام کرد که واشنگتن هنوز به توافق نهایی با تهران دست نیافته است و هیچ توافقی امروز یا فردا امضا نخواهد شد؛ این مقام مسئول با تاکید بر این‌که آمریکا تسلیم خواسته‌های طرف مقابل نخواهد شد، افزود که تمایل و تصمیم دونالد ترامپ، رئیس‌جمهوری آمریکا، این است که یک فرصت ۵ تا ۷ روزه دیگر به مذاکره‌کنندگان بدهد تا توافق را به مرحله نهایی برسانند.

بر اساس این گزارش، یک توافق چارچوبی با ایران تا روز یکشنبه تا ۹۵ درصد پیشرفت داشته است و اگرچه دو طرف بر سر کلیات مربوط به ذخایر هسته‌ای تهران و بازگشایی تنگه هرمز به توافق رسیده‌اند، اما چانه‌زنی مذاکره‌کنندگان بر سر جزئیات و «ادبیات دقیق» متن این تفاهم‌نامه همچنان ادامه دارد.

تسنیم، خبرگزاری وابسته به سپاه پاسداران، روز یکشنبه به نقل از «یک مقام مطلع» گزارش داد: «هیچگونه خوش‌بینی به آمریکا ندارد و رد و بدل پیامها از طریق میانجی پاکستانی نیز دائماً با در نظر گرفتن بدبینی به دولت آمریکا صورت می‌گیرد».

تسنیم به نقل از این منبع در ادامه نوشت: «تا این لحظه تفاهم نهایی حاصل نشده و چالش در بعضی بندها ادامه دارد، اما حتی اگر تفاهم اولیه‌ای نیز صورت بگیرد، به معنای تغییر نگاه ایران به آمریکا و اطمینان از اجرای تعهدات این دولت نیست. آمریکایی‌ها سابقه بسیار بدی در مذاکرات دارند که بدبینی ها را تقویت و تثبیت می‌کند. پس حتی اگر تفاهمی نیز صورت بگیرد ایران در طول روند پس از اعلام تفاهم، اقدامات آمریکا را زیر نظر خواهد گرفت و در صورتی که آمریکا در آن مرحله نقض عهد کند، ایران اهرم‌های خود برای مواجهه با آن را حفظ خواهد کرد».
تسنیم پیش از این نیز از «کارشکنی‌های آمریکا» در بندهای تفاهم از جمله در آزادسازی اموال بلوکه شده ایران گزارش داده و نوشته بود: «همچنان امکان منتفی شدن تفاهم وجود دارد».
