According to the New York Post, one of the latest points of contention regarding a potential agreement between Washington and Tehran is how to gradually release Iran's assets held in Qatar, which are intended for humanitarian purposes.
Based on this report, the financial resources in question will not be directly handed over to the Iranian government; instead, they will be used to purchase food and medical supplies, which will then be sent to Iran.
The New York Post quoted a U.S. government official stating that the gradual disbursement of these resources will be contingent upon Iran fulfilling its commitments, including reopening the Strait of Hormuz and clearing mines in the Strait of Hormuz.

به گزارش نیویورکپست، یکی از آخرین موارد اختلاف بر سر راه توافق احتمالی میان واشینگتن و تهران، چگونگی آزادسازی مرحلهای داراییهای ایران است که در قطر نگهداری میشود و برای اهداف بشردوستانه در نظر گرفته شده است.
بر اساس این گزارش، منابع مالی مورد بحث مستقیما در اختیار حکومت ایران قرار نخواهد گرفت، بلکه برای خرید مواد غذایی و تجهیزات پزشکی استفاده میشود و سپس این اقلام به ایران ارسال خواهد شد.
نیویورکپست به نقل از یک مقام دولت آمریکا نوشت پرداخت تدریجی این منابع به اجرای تعهدات از سوی ایران، از جمله بازگشایی تنگه هرمز و پاکسازی مینها در تنگه هرمز، وابسته خواهد بود.
