The internet in Iran has not become free and normal. Most foreign routes are either blocked or semi-open. Only certain destinations and specific routes are allowed to pass. This has caused regular VPNs to not work well.

In this situation, some individuals who have whitelisted domains and routes are selling access. The result has been an unequal, rent-seeking internet filled with temporary solutions.

It's as if they've left the building door slightly ajar to let some air in, but they don't allow anyone to pass through.

That's why your phone might show that you have internet access, and it may even initially open the desired site or app or respond to it, but in reality, there is no internet.

اینترنت در ایران آزاد و عادی نشده. بیشتر مسیرهای خارجی یا بسته‌اند یا نیمه‌بازند. فقط بعضی مقاصد و مسیرهای خاص اجازه عبور دارند. همین باعث شده فیلترشکن‌های معمولی خوب کار نکنند.
در این میون بعضی از افرادی که دامنه‌ها و مسیرهای سفیدشده دارند، دسترسی می‌فروشند. نتیجه‌اش هم شده اینترنت نابرابر، رانتی و پر از راه‌حل‌های موقت.
انگاری که درِ ساختمون رو کمی باز گذاشته باشن که هوا بیاد، اما اجازه ندن کسی ازش رد بشه.
برای همینه که گوشی‌تون ممکنه نشون بده که اینترنت دارید، حتی شاید اولش سایت یا اپ مورد نظر رو باز کنه یا بهش واکنش نشون بده، اما در عمل از اینترنت خبری نیست.
