The virtual session of the Islamic Consultative Assembly was held under the presidency of Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, with the online participation of 187 representatives and the presence of 14 representatives.
In this session, which was the first meeting of the third year of the twelfth parliament, the new members of the parliament's presiding board took their oath.
The meeting on Sunday, June 10, was held in a secret location, similar to a few previous sessions.
Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf emphasized in this session that "no agreement will be approved until we are assured that we have secured the rights of the Iranian people."
Qalibaf, who is also referred to as the head of Iran's negotiating team, read a statement in this session, claiming that "we are pushing the enemy back in a historic war."

Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, the Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, said: "We begin the third year of the twelfth parliament while the memory of our martyred leader is with us, and we still cannot believe the loss of our leader and the father of the nation."
He continued: "Our leader taught us not to bow an inch against bullying and threats and to fight against the enemy with clenched fists until the last drop of blood."
Qalibaf added: "Seeing the absence of our leadership is painful for us, but we are encouraged by the new management and leadership."

جلسه مجازی صحن مجلس شورای اسلامی به ریاست محمدباقر قالیباف و مشارکت آنلاین ۱۸۷ نماینده و حضور ۱۴ نماینده برگزار شد.
در این جلسه که اولین جلسه از سومین سال مجلس دوازدهم بود، اعضای جدید هیئت رئیسه مجلس سوگند یاد کردند.
جلسه روز یک‌شنبه، دهم خردادماه، همچون جلسات معدود گذشته در مکانی مخفی برگزار شد.
محمدباقر قالیباف در همین جلسه تأکید کرد که «تا اطمینان پیدا نکنیم که حقوق ملت ایران را گرفته‌ایم، هیچ توافقی تأیید نمی‌شود».
قالیباف که از او به عنوان رئیس هیئت مذاکره‌کننده ایران نیز یاد می‌شود در این جلسه بیانیه‌ای را قرائت کرد و در آن ادعا کرد که «در حال عقب نشاندن دشمن در یک جنگ تاریخ‌ساز هستیم».

محمدباقر قالیباف، رییس مجلس شورای اسلامی گفت: «سومین سال مجلس دوازدهم را در حالی آغاز می‌کنیم که یاد و خاطره رهبر شهید با ماست و هنوز فقدان رهبر و پدر امت را باور نمی‌کنیم.»
او ادامه داد: «رهبرمان به ما آموخت مقابل زورگویی و تهدید، ذره‌ای سر خم نکنیم و با مشت‌های گره کرده مقابل خصم تا آخرین قطره خون مبارزه کنیم.»
قالیباف اضافه کرد: «دیدن جای خالی رهبری برایمان جانکاه است، ولی دلگرم به مدیریت و رهبری جدید هستیم.»
