Iran International reported a few hours ago that Masoud Pezeshkian had officially requested to resign from his position in a letter to Mojtaba Khamenei, the leader of the Islamic Republic. The media outlet also mentioned that the letter referred to structural disagreements in the governance of the country and the role of military institutions in major decision-making.
