Iranian media have reported the shooting death of a female student at the Qazvin School of Dentistry.

Mizan, the news agency of the judiciary, quoted the prosecutor of Qazvin as saying: "Initial investigations indicate that these two students, who were on the verge of graduation, were in the process of separating from a romantic relationship and had previously had severe family disputes with each other. This morning, the young man entered the clinic area with a military pistol and shot four bullets into the chest of the female student. The severity of the injuries was such that unfortunately, she lost her life at the scene."

In a statement, Qazvin University of Medical Sciences said: "The motive for this incident was personal and family issues and is not related to administrative processes or the educational environment of the school."

According to Hamidreza Ghafeleh Bashi, the president of Qazvin University of Medical Sciences, "This shooting occurred due to family animosity, and the two students, who were husband and wife, lost their lives as a result of the shooting."

رسانه‌های ایران از کشته شدن یک دانشجوی زن در دانشکده دندانپزشکی قزوین به ضرب گلوله خبر داده‌اند.

میزان، خبرگزاری قوه قضائیه، از قول دادستان قزوین نوشت: «بررسی‌های اولیه نشان می‌دهد این دو دانشجو که در آستانه فارغ‌التحصیلی قرار داشتند، در مرحله متارکه از یک رابطه عاطفی بوده و پیش از این نیز اختلافات خانوادگی شدیدی با یکدیگر داشتند. صبح امروز، مرد جوان با یک قبضه سلاح کلت جنگی وارد محوطه درمانگاه شده و چهار گلوله به ناحیه سینه دانشجوی دختر شلیک کرده است. شدت جراحات وارده به‌حدی بوده که متأسفانه وی در همان محل جان خود را از دست می‌دهد.

در اطلاعیه دانشگاه علوم پزشکی قزوین در این باره آمده است: «انگیزه این واقعه، مسایل شخصی و خانوادگی بوده و ارتباطی با فرآیندهای اداری یا محیط آموزشی دانشکده ندارد.»

به گفته حمیدرضا قافله باشی، رئیس دانشگاه علوم پزشکی قزوین، «این تیراندازی به دلیل خصومت‌ خانوادگی اتفاق افتاده و دو دانشجو که زن و شوهر بودند در اثر شلیک جان خود را از دست داده‌اند.»
