ارتش کویت اعلام کرد سامانه‌های دفاعی این کشور در حال مقابله با حملات موشکی و پهپادی خصمانه هستند.

ستاد کل نیروهای مسلح کویت با انتشار بیانیه‌ای فوری اعلام کرد که سیستم‌های پدافند هوایی این کشور، بامداد چهارشنبه، ۱۳ خردادماه، مشغول مقابله با حملات موشکی و پهپادهای متخاصم در آسمان کویت هستند. ارتش کویت در این اطلاعیه تاکید کرد که صدای انفجارهای شنیده‌شده در مناطق مختلف، ناشی از عملیات موفقیت‌آمیز سامانه‌های دفاع جوی در رهگیری و انهدام این «اهداف متخاصم» است. مقامات نظامی کویت از تمامی شهروندان و ساکنان این کشور خواسته‌اند تا آرامش خود را حفظ کرده و به طور کامل به دستورالعمل‌های امنیتی و ایمنی صادر شده از سوی مراجع مربوطه پایبند باشند.
