Hours after multiple reports of missile attacks on locations in Kuwait and Bahrain, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps officially announced an attack on the U.S. Navy's Fifth Fleet base.

Statement from the IRGC citing Islamic Republic sources

"In the name of God, the Avenger of the Oppressors
So whoever attacks you, then retaliate against him with similar to that with which he has attacked you.

Late last night, the aggressive U.S. military targeted an Iranian oil tanker near the Strait of Hormuz with aerial projectiles, causing damage to the engine room of the tanker.

In response to this aggression and violation of the regulations of the Strait of Hormuz, a vessel belonging to the American-Zionist enemy named Panaya was targeted by the IRGC Navy's missiles.

In another act of aggression, the American enemy targeted an IRGC telecommunications tower in the south of Qeshm Island with its aerial projectiles. In response to this aggression, their air and helicopter base located in one of the regional countries, as well as the U.S. Fifth Naval Fleet center, were attacked by the IRGC Aerospace Force with missiles and drones.

We had previously warned that if there was an aggression, the response would be different and heavier, and we acted accordingly. These responses should serve as a lesson.

We reiterate that disrupting the security of the Strait of Hormuz will have severe consequences for the aggressive U.S. military.

ساعتی پس از مخابره گزارش‌های متعدد از حملات موشکی به نقاطی در کویت و بحرین، سپاه پاسداران با انتشار اطلاعیه‌ای رسما از حمله به پایگاه ناوگان پنجم نیروی دریایی آمریکا خبر داد.

بیانیه سپاه به نقل از منابع جمهوری اسلامی

"بسم الله القاصم الجبارین
فَمَنِ اعْتَدَىٰ عَلَيْكُمْ فَاعْتَدُوا عَلَيْهِ بِمِثْلِ مَا اعْتَدَىٰ عَلَيْكُمْ

در اواخر شب گذشته ارتش متجاوز آمریکا یک نفتکش ایرانی را در حوالی تنگه هرمز مورد اصابت پرتابه هوایی قرار داد که این نفتکش از محل موتورخانه دچار خسارت گردید.

در پاسخ به این تجاوز و نقض مقررات تنگه هرمز شناور متعلق به دشمن آمریکایی صهیونی به نام پانایا مورد هدف موشک های نیروی دریایی سپاه قرار گرفت.

دشمن آمریکایی در تجاوزی مجدد یک دکل مخابراتی سپاه در جنوب جزیره قشم را هدف پرتابه های هوایی خود قرار داد در پاسخ به این تجاوز پایگاه هوایی و بالگردی آنان مستقر در یکی از کشورهای منطقه و همچنین مرکز ناوگان پنجم دریایی آمریکا مورد تهاجم موشکی و پهپادی نیروی هوافضای سپاه قرار گرفتند.

پیش از این اخطار داده بودیم که در صورت تجاوز پاسخ متفاوت و سنگین تر خواهد بود و همینطور اقدام کردیم. این پاسخ ها باید عبرت شده باشد.

تکرار می کنیم برهم زدن امنیت تنگه هرمز تاوان سختی برای ارتش متجاوز آمریکا خواهد داشت.
