Donald Trump, the President of the United States, stated in an interview with the "Pod Force One" podcast from the New York Post that the Islamic Republic has agreed not to have nuclear weapons, but he also reminded that Tehran can still "change its mind."

In this interview, which was published on Wednesday, he said: "We had to do something about Iran because no matter how good our [economic] situation is, we cannot allow them to have nuclear weapons." President Trump added, however, that "they have already agreed not to have nuclear weapons."

When President Trump was asked in this conversation whether the Iranian regime agreed to this condition, he clarified that "yes, they have agreed to this."

He added: "I mean, they can change their mind now, but this was one of the things they had to agree to, and they did agree, this was the main and big issue."

او در این مصاحبه که روز چهارشنبه منتشر شد، گفت: «ما باید کاری در قبال ایران انجام می‌دادیم، زیرا صرف‌نظر از اینکه وضعیت ما [از نظر اقتصادی] چقدر خوب است، نمی‌توانیم اجازه دهیم آن‌ها سلاح هسته‌ای داشته باشند.» پرزیدنت ترامپ اما اضافه کرد که «آن‌ها از قبل موافقت کرده‌اند که سلاح هسته‌ای نداشته باشند.»

وقتی در این گفت‌وگو از پرزیدنت ترامپ سؤال شد که آیا رژیم ایران با این شرط موافقت کرده یا خیر، او تصریح کرد که «بله، آن‌ها با این موضوع موافقت کرده‌اند.»

او اضافه کرد: «منظورم این است که آن‌ها اکنون می‌توانند نظر خود را تغییر دهند، اما این یکی از چیزهایی بود که باید با آن موافقت می‌کردند و موافقت کردند، این موضوع اصلی و بزرگ بود.»
