Kazem Jalali, the ambassador of the Islamic Republic in Russia, referred to the trips of Ali Larijani, the former Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, to Moscow, stating: "His trips, except for two that we announced, were confidential. This means that both we and the Russian side did not publicize the trips. Only two trips were announced."

Jalali told Khabar Online that Larijani had many confidential trips to Russia and traveled there seven times in the past year and a half. Without mentioning the reasons for these trips and the topics discussed, he said: "On one of these trips, the Russian side contacted me and expressed interest in making the trip public, and Mr. Larijani did not object, so the news was published. However, the last trip, which took place on January 30, 2025, was publicized differently."

Jalali added: "We saw that when his plane took off, three or four thousand people were watching it on Flight Radar. When the plane landed in Moscow, this number had reached 34,000. This is a very high number for Flight Radar. Then, a series of rumors started to circulate. In the car he got into, I told him that we should publicize this trip. They asked why? I said that considering the events of January 7 and 8, some counter-revolutionaries are trying to portray this news differently. Some had written that the leader of the regime went to Russia, or some said that money was taken to Russia, and there were many strange news items."

Jalali continued: "On January 30, when Ali Larijani met with Putin, at the end of the meeting, I said if you allow us, we can publish a short news item, in coordination. Thus, those two trips were publicized."

The ambassador of the Islamic Republic in Russia also said: "After the death of Ali Larijani, Putin had prepared the text of his condolence message, but we said not to publish it until the domestic media announced the news of his death. [Because we have currently lied to our own people, and it would be embarrassing!]"

کاظم جلالی، سفیر جمهوری اسلامی در روسیه با اشاره به سفرهای علی لاریجانی دبیر سابق شورای عالی امنیت ملی به مسکو گفت: سفرهای او، به جز دو مورد که خبری کردیم، بقیه محرمانه بود. یعنی هم ما و هم طرف روس، سفرها را رسانه‌ای نکردیم. فقط دو سفر اعلام شد.

جلالی به خبرآنلاین گفت، لاریجانی سفرهای محرمانه زیادی به روسیه داشت و در یک سال‌و‌نیم اخبر، هفت بار به روسیه سفر کرد. جلالی بدون اشاره به دلیل این سفرها و موضوعات مورد مذاکره گفت: «در یکی از این سفرها، طرف روس با من تماس گرفت و ابراز علاقه کرد که سفر رسانه‌ای شود و آقای لاریجانی هم مخالفتی نکردند و خبر آن منتشر شد. اما سفر آخری که در ۱۰ بهمن‌ماه ۱۴۰۴ صورت گرفت، به شکل دیگری رسانه‌ای شد.»
جلالی افزود: «ما دیدیم وقتی هواپیمای ایشان حرکت کرد، سه یا چهار هزار نفر در فلایت‌رادار آن را تماشا می‌کنند. زمانی که هواپیما در مسکو نشست، این رقم به ۳۴ هزار نفر رسیده بود. برای فلایت‌رادار، این عدد بسیار بالایی است. بعد هم یک‌سری شایعات شکل گرفته بود. در ماشینی که ایشان سوار شدند، به ایشان گفتم که این سفر را باید رسانه‌ای کنیم. پرسیدند چرا؟ گفتم با توجه به حوادث ۱۸ و ۱۹ دی، الآن عده‌ای از ضدانقلاب‌ها تلاش می‌کنند این خبر را به شکل دیگری جلوه دهند. برخی نوشته بودند که رهبر نظام به روسیه رفته یا برخی گفتند که پول‌ها را به روسیه برده‌اند و این خبرهای عجیب زیاد شده بود.»

جلالی در ادامه گفت: در ۱۰ بهمن، زمانی که علی لاریجانی با پوتین ملاقات داشت، در پایان جلسه من گفتم اگر اجازه دهید ما یک خبر کوتاه، با هماهنگی، منتشر کنیم. به این ترتیب همان دو سفر رسانه‌ای شد.

سفیر جمهوری اسلامی در روسیه همچنین گفت: پس از کشته شدن علی لاریجانی، پوتین متن پیام تسلیت خود را آماده کرده بود اما گفتیم منتشر نکند تا اول رسانه‌های داخلی خبر مرگ را اعلام کنند. [چون فعلا به مردم کشور خودمون دروغ گفتیم و ضایع میشه!]
