The U.S. Central Command announced that the Islamic Republic's claim that it did not attack the passenger terminal of Kuwait International Airport and that the damage was caused by an American interceptor missile is "completely incorrect."
CENTCOM stated that the Islamic Republic attacked this civilian airport with a drone and described the act as "deliberate, calculated, and unjustified."

Hosseini Mohibi, spokesman for the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, stated that the destruction of the terminal at Kuwait International Airport was "caused by the error of American Patriot systems."
According to Iranian domestic media, Mr. Mohibi added that the IRGC "did not fire any shots" at this airport.
He claimed that according to the IRGC's investigations: "The destruction of the passenger terminal at Kuwait Airport was due to the error of American Patriot systems, which landed on this terminal after failing to intercept Iranian missiles."
As a result of a missile landing at Kuwait International Airport, at least one person was killed and several others were injured. The deceased was an Indian national, and the Indian Ministry of External Affairs stated that several other Indian citizens were also injured in this attack.

فرماندهی مرکزی ایالات متحده اعلام کرد ادعای جمهوری اسلامی مبنی بر اینکه به ترمینال مسافری فرودگاه بین‌المللی کویت حمله نکرده و خسارت ناشی از یک موشک رهگیر آمریکایی بوده، «کاملا نادرست» است.
سنتکام اعلام کرد جمهوری اسلامی با پهپاد به این فرودگاه غیرنظامی حمله کرده و این اقدام را «عامدانه، محاسبه‌شده و بی‌دلیل» توصیف کرد.

حسین محبی، سخنگوی سپاه پاسداران، گفته است که تخریب ترمینال فرودگاه بین‌المللی کویت «ناشی از خطای سامانه‌های پاترویت آمریکایی بوده است.»
به گزارش رسانه‌های داخلی ایران آقای محبی اضافه کرده است که سپاه «هیچ شلیکی» به سمت این فرودگاه نداشته است.
او مدعی شد که بنا به تحقیقات سپاه: « تخریب ترمینال مسافربری فرودگاه کویت ناشی از خطای سامانه‌های پاتریوت آمریکایی بوده است، که پس از شکست در رهگیری موشک‌های ایرانی بر این ترمینال فرود آمده‌اند.»
در نتیجه فرود آمدن یک موشک در فرودگاه بین‌المللی کویت، دست‌کم یک نفر کشته و چند نفر زخمی شدند. فرد کشته شده تبعه هندی بوده و وزارت خارجه هند گفته چند شهروند دیگر هند نیز در این حمله زخمی شده‌اند.
