Abbas Araghchi, the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic, threatened on Wednesday that a potential Israeli attack on Beirut, the capital of Lebanon, would lead to a "complete resumption of war" between Iran and the U.S. and Israel.

In an interview with the Al-Mayadeen network, close to Hezbollah in Lebanon, he also claimed that after Israel threatened to attack Dahiyeh, the southern suburb of Beirut and the main headquarters of Hezbollah, Iranian military forces were placed on "full alert."

In his Wednesday interview, Abbas Araghchi also stated that communication with the U.S. government has not been "cut off," but added that "no tangible progress has been made in the negotiation process."

A few hours earlier, Marco Rubio, the U.S. Secretary of State, announced that Iran has not yet made its final decision to end the war.

عباس عراقجی، وزیر خارجه جمهوری اسلامی، روز چهارشنبه تهدید کرد که حمله احتمالی اسرائیل به بیروت، پایتخت لبنان، باعث «ازسرگیری کامل جنگ» ایران با آمریکا و اسرائیل خواهد شد.

او در گفت‌وگو با شبکه المیادین، نزدیک به حزب‌الله لبنان، همچنین ادعا کرد که بعد از تهدید اسرائیل برای حمله به ضاجیه، حومه جنوبی بیروت و مقر اصلی حزب‌الله، نیروهای نظامی ایران در «وضعیت آماده‌باش کامل» قرار گرفتند.

عباس عراقچی در گفت‌وگوی روز چهارشنبه خود همجنین اعلام کرد که ارتباط با دولت آمریکا «قطع» نشده است، اما افزود که «هیچ پیشرفت ملموسی در روند مذاکرات حاصل نشده است».

ساعتی پیش مارکو روبیو، وزیر خارجه آمریکا، اعلام کرد که ایران هنوز تصمیم نهایی خود برای پایان دادن به جنگ را اعلام نکرده است.
