The Tasnim News Agency, affiliated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, on Thursday, June 14, hours after the release of videos and images of the IRGC drone's impact on Kuwait International Airport, referred to them as "the enemy's false portrayal," citing a military source.

This military source told Tasnim: "The launch of the IRGC aerospace drones towards American targets in Kuwait occurred at midnight, and the impact also took place at midnight (in the dark), while the claimed footage and images of the drone at the airport show that the sky is completely bright and related to daytime."

Before the release of images showing the drone's impact on Terminal 1 of Kuwait Airport, the IRGC had claimed that American anti-aircraft missiles had struck this location.

The military source, whose name has not been disclosed, told Tasnim: "The distance from the IRGC aerospace drones' 'target' to Kuwait Airport is more than 40 kilometers, which also indicates that the impact on Kuwait Airport is not related to Iranian drones."

خبرگزاری تسنیم، وابسته به سپاه پاسداران روز پنجشنبه ۱۴ خردادماه و ساعاتی پس از انتشار ویدیوها و تصاویری از برخورد پهپاد سپاه به فرودگاه بین‌المللی کویت، به نقل از یک منبع نظامی، آن‌ها را «تصویرسازی دروغین دشمن» خواند.

این منبع نظامی به تسنیم گفت:‌«پرتاب پهپادهای هوافضای سپاه به سوی اهداف آمریکایی در کویت، در نیمه شب و اصابت هم در نیمه شب (و در تاریکی هوا) صورت گرفته است درحالی که در فیلم و عکسهای ادعایی که از پهپاد در فرودگاه منتشر شده، هوا کاملاً روشن و مربوط به روز است.»

سپاه پاسداران پیش از انتشار تصاویر برخورد پهپاد با پایانه مسافربری شماره ۱ فرودگاه کویت ادعا کرده بود که موشک‌های سامانه ضدهوایی آمریکا به این محل برخورد کرده بودند.

این منبع نظامی که نامش فاش نشده به تسنیم گفت:‌ «فاصله «هدف» پهپادهای هوافضای سپاه تا فرودگاه کویت بیش از ۴۰ کیلومتر است و این نیز نشان می‌دهد که اصابت به فرودگاه کویت ارتباطی به پهپادهای ایران ندارد.»
