Ali Kamali, one of the detainees from the protests in December 2024, has been sentenced to death for the charge of "moharebeh" by Branch 26 of the Tehran Revolutionary Court.
The human rights media outlet HRANA reported that this death sentence is currently under review by the Supreme Court of the country.
According to HRANA, Branch 26, presided over by Iman Afshari, issued the ruling in mid-May of this year. Kamali, who has residency in Malaysia, was arrested on January 11, 2024, in Tehran and is currently being held in Greater Tehran Prison.

رسانه حقوق بشری هرانابا اعلام محکومیت علی کمالی به اعدام، نوشت این حکم در حال حاضر در دیوان عالی کشور تحت بررسی قرار دارد.
بهگفته هرانا شعبه ۲۶ به ریاست ایمان افشاری در اواسط اردیبهشت سال جاری حکم را صادر کرد. کمالی که دارای اقامت مالزی است، ۲۲ دیماه ۱۴۰۴ در تهران بازداشت
شد و اکنون در زندان تهران بزرگ نگهداری میشود.
