The United States Central Command, CENTCOM, denied the Islamic Republic Army's claim about firing missiles and drones at American destroyers in the Sea of Oman.

Iranian media reported on Friday, citing the army, that its naval forces fired "Qadir missiles and new attack drones" as a "warning" towards two American destroyers, which then left the Sea of Oman heading towards the Indian Ocean.

CENTCOM, which oversees U.S. military forces in the Middle East, stated on X a few hours later: "Iranian forces did not attack U.S. Navy warships and did not open fire on them. Such an action would constitute a clear and blatant violation of the ceasefire." The statement emphasized the continuation of Iran's maritime blockade that began in late Farvardin.

ستاد فرماندهی مرکزی ایالات متحده، سنتکام، ادعای ارتش جمهوری اسلامی درباره شلیک موشک و پهپاد به سمت ناوشکن‌های آمریکایی در دریای عمان را تکذیب کرد.

رسانه‌های ایران روز جمعه به نقل از ارتش اعلام کردند که نیروی دریایی آن به عنوان «اخطار» به سمت دو ناوشکن آمریکایی «موشک قدیر و پهپادهای تهاجمی جدید» شلیک کرده و این دو ناوشکن دریای عمان را به سمت اقیانوس هند ترک کردند.

سنتکام که فرماندهی نیروهای نظامی آمریکا در خاورمیانه را برعهده دارد، ساعتی بعد در شبکه ایکس اعلام کرد: «نیروهای ایرانی به ناوهای جنگی نیروی دریایی آمریکا حمله نکرده‌اند و به سوی آنها آتش نگشوده‌اند. انجام چنین اقدامی نقض آشکار و فاحش آتش‌بس محسوب می‌شد.
در این اطلاعیه بر ادامه محاصره دریایی ایران که از اواخر فرودین آغاز شد، تأکید شده است.
