Joseph Aoun, the President of Lebanon, in an interview published on Friday, called on Iran not to interfere in Lebanon's affairs. He also told the Hezbollah group, an ally supported by Tehran, that the only solution to the conflict with Israel is diplomacy.

In this conversation with CNN, he addressed Iran, saying: "This is not your country; it is our country... Interfering in our country is not your duty."

Mr. Aoun added: "They are using Lebanon as a bargaining chip in their negotiations with the United States. This is unacceptable."

The President of Lebanon also stated: "Hezbollah must understand that there is no way other than sitting down and talking; there is no other way to solve this problem and save what remains, except through negotiation and diplomacy."

Hezbollah is designated as a terrorist organization by the United States, but the European Union only considers its military wing to be terrorist.

جوزف عون، رئیس‌جمهور لبنان، در مصاحبه‌ای که روز جمعه منتشر شد، از ایران خواست در امور لبنان دخالت نکند. او همچنین به گروه حزب‌الله، متحد مورد حمایت تهران، گفت که تنها راه‌حل درگیری با اسرائیل، دیپلماسی است.

او در این گفت‌وگو با شبکه خبری سی‌ان‌ان خطاب به ایران گفت: «این کشور شما نیست، کشورِ ماست... دخالت در کشور ما وظیفه شما نیست.»

آقای عون افزود: «آنها از لبنان به‌عنوان یک اهرم چانه‌زنی در مذاکرات خود با ایالات متحده استفاده می‌کنند. این غیرقابل قبول است.»

رئیس‌جمهور لبنان همچنین گفت: «حزب‌الله باید درک کند که هیچ راهی جز نشستن و گفت‌وگو وجود ندارد؛ هیچ راه دیگری برای حل این مشکل و نجات آنچه باقی مانده است، جز از طریق مذاکره و دیپلماسی وجود ندارد.»

حزب‌الله از سوی آمریکا به عنوان سازمان تروریستی شناخته می‌شود اما اتحادیه اروپا تنها شاخه نظامی آن را تروریستی می‌داند.
