Contrary to some reports about the entry and exit of the Iranian national football team into the United States, the president of the country's football federation explained on Sunday that the national team is allowed to enter the country one day before each match.

Previously, Abolfazl Pasandideh, the ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Mexico, stated that based on the conditions set for the visas of the Iranian national football team members, players and coaching staff are only allowed to enter the United States on the day of their matches and must leave the country the same day.

According to ISNA, Mehdi Taj, who himself could not obtain a U.S. visa, also said on Sunday: "It is really strange that they interfere to this extent in the management of football. This is unusual."

برخلاف برخی گزارش‌ها درباره ورود و خروج تیم ملی فوتبال ایران به خاک آمریکا، رئیس فدراسیون فوتبال کشور روز یک‌شنبه توضیح داد که تیم ملی یک روز قبل از هر مسابقه اجازه ورود به خاک این کشور را دارد.

پیشتر ابوالفضل پسندیده، سفیر جمهوری اسلامی ایران در مکزیک، گفته بود که بر اساس شرایط تعیین‌شده برای روادید اعضای تیم ملی فوتبال ایران، بازیکنان و کادر فنی تنها در روز برگزاری مسابقات خود اجازه ورود به خاک آمریکا را دارند و باید همان روز این کشور را ترک کنند.

به گزارش ایسنا، مهدی تاج که خود نتوانست ویزای آمریکا را دریافت کند روز یک‌شنبه همچنین گفت: «واقعا عجیب است که اینها تا این حد در حوزه اداره فوتبال دخالت می‌کنند. این کار نادر است.»
