Ghalibaf threatened that U.S. bases will be targeted in response to Israel's attack on Beirut: mb_ghalibaf

The Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, who is the chief negotiator for the Islamic Republic in talks with the United States, wrote on X that the maritime blockade against Iran and "the green light from the U.S. today" to Israel for attacking Dahieh "turns U.S. bases and assets in the region into legitimate targets."

Israel announced a few hours ago that in response to Hezbollah's attacks on its territory, it has targeted Hezbollah positions in the southern suburbs of Beirut. On the other hand, Donald Trump, the President of the United States, stated that he intends to keep American forces in the region until the process of "completing" the agreement with Iran is finished.

In his statement, Ghalibaf accused the United States and Israel of "neither adhering to a ceasefire nor believing in dialogue," adding that these countries "have shown through the maritime blockade and violation of agreements regarding Lebanon that they only understand the language of power."

قالیباف در واکنش به حمله اسرائیل به بیروت تهدید کرد پایگاه‌های آمریکا هدف قرار می‌گیرند: mb_ghalibaf

رئیس مجلس شورای اسلامی که مذاکره‌کننده ارشد جمهوری اسلامی در گفت‌وگوها با ایالات متحده است، در شبکه ایکس نوشت که محاصره دریایی علیه ایران و «چراغ سبز امروز آمریکا» به اسرائیل برای حمله به ضاحیه «پایگاه‌ها و دارایی‌های آمریکا و رژیم در منطقه را به اهداف مشروع تبدیل می‌کند».

اسرائیل ساعاتی پیش اعلام کرد در واکنش به حملات حزب‌الله به خاک خود، مواضع حزب‌الله در حومه جنوبی بیروت را هدف قرار داده است. از سوی دیگر دونالد ترامپ، رئیس‌جمهور آمریکا، اعلام کرد که قصد دارد نیروهای آمریکایی را تا زمان «تکمیل» روند توافق با ایران در منطقه نگه دارد.

قالیباف در بیانیه خود ایالات متحده و ‏اسرائیل را متهم کرد که «نه به آتش‌بس پایبندند نه به گفتگو باور دارند» و افزود که این کشورها «با محاصرهٔ دریایی و نقض توافقات دربارهٔ لبنان نشان دادند که فقط زبان قدرت می‌فهمند».
