Trump: Iran's Attacks Didn't Harm Anyone, I Hope Israel Doesn't Retaliate

Following the announcement of Iran's missile attack on Israel on Sunday evening, Donald Trump, the President of the United States, said in a phone interview with Axios: "I'm calling Bibi (Benjamin Netanyahu) right now and telling him not to retaliate. Both sides have done their part. Israel carried out its attack, and Iran carried out its attack. There's no need for another attack."

In this conversation, Donald Trump added: "Iran's attacks didn't harm anyone. I hope Israel doesn't retaliate. If Bibi (Benjamin Netanyahu) responds, this situation will continue just as it has for the past 47 years, or even for the past 3,000 years."

Trump continued: "We are very close to a final agreement with Iran. This agreement will be a good one. I don't want this process to be disrupted because of what is happening now."

This incident occurred a few hours after the Israeli army targeted the Dahieh area in southern Beirut, and Iran threatened to respond to this attack.

A senior Iranian source also told Reuters that "Iran will respond to any Israeli attack with greater force." The Israeli army has stated that it has intercepted all missiles launched by Iran so far.

ترامپ: حملات ایران به کسی آسیبی نرساند، امیدوارم اسرائیل تلافی نکند

درپی اعلام خبر حمله موشکی ایران به اسرائیل در شامگاه یک‌شنبه، دونالد ترامپ، رئیس‌جمهور آمریکا، در گفت‌وگویی تلفنی با خبرنگار اکسیوس گفت: «همین حالا با بی‌بی (بنیامین نتانیاهو) تماس می‌گیرم و به او می‌گویم تلافی نکند. هر دو طرف کار خودشان را کرده‌اند. اسرائیل حمله خود را انجام داد و ایران هم حمله خود را انجام داد. دیگر نیازی به حمله دیگری نیست.»

دونالد ترامپ در این گفت‌وگو افزود: «حملات ایران به کسی آسیبی نرساند. امیدوارم اسرائیل تلافی نکند. اگر بی‌بی (بنیامین نتانیاهو) پاسخ بدهد، این ماجرا همان‌طور که در ۴۷ سال گذشته، یا حتی در ۳۰۰۰ سال گذشته، ادامه داشته، باز هم ادامه پیدا خواهد کرد.»

ترامپ افزود: «ما به یک توافق نهایی با ایران بسیار نزدیک هستیم. این توافق، توافق خوبی خواهد بود. نمی‌خواهم به خاطر اتفاقاتی که اکنون در حال رخ دادن است، این روند از بین برود.»

این اتفاق چند ساعت بعد از آن رخ داد که ارتش اسرائیل منطقه ضاحیه در جنوب بیروت را هدف قرار داد و ایران تهدید کرد به این حمله پاسخ خواهد داد.

یک منبع ارشد ایرانی هم به خبرگزاری رویترز گفته است که «ایران به هر حمله اسرائیل با نیرویی شدیدتر پاسخ خواهد داد.»
ارتش اسرائیل اعلام کرده است همه موشک‌هایی را که تاکنون از سوی ایران شلیک شده‌اند رهگیری کرده است.
