Following the announcement of an airstrike by the Israeli army on locations in western and central Iran, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps issued a statement saying that Israel "used air-launched ballistic missiles to attack targets" within Iranian territory.

The news of these attacks comes as an American official told Axios that Donald Trump, the President of the United States, had asked Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of Israel, during a phone call on Sunday to refrain from retaliatory strikes against Iran for the time being.

درپی اعلام حمله هوایی ارتش اسرائیل به نقاطی در غرب و مرکز ایران، سپاه پاسداران انقلاب اسلامی بیانیه‌ای صادر کرد و نوشت که اسرائیل «با استفاده از موشک‌های بالستیک هواپرتاب اقدام به حمله به اهدافی» در خاک ایران کرده است.

ارتش اسرائیل حمله هوایی به مرکز و غرب ایران را اعلام کرده اما هنوز نوع سلاح‌های به‌کاررفته در این حملات را اعلام نکرده است.

خبر این حملات درحالی منتشر می‌شود که یک مقام آمریکایی به اکسیوس گفته بود دونالد ترامپ، رئیس‌جمهور آمریکا، روز یک‌شنبه در تماس تلفنی با بنیامین نتانیاهو، نخست‌وزیر اسرائیل، از او خواسته بود فعلاً از حمله تلافی‌جویانه به ایران خودداری کند.
