🔻An American official has told media outlets in the country that the U.S. military played no role in Israel's nighttime attacks on Iran.

Axios reported, citing a U.S. Department of Defense official, that these Israeli attacks were "relatively limited."

This report comes as Donald Trump, the President of the United States, had previously urged Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of Israel, to refrain from retaliatory actions against Iran amid ongoing diplomatic efforts.

Axios had earlier reported that Mr. Netanyahu had "implicitly agreed" to accept Trump's request informally.

The nighttime attacks by Israel occurred just hours after Iran fired missiles into northern Israel and took place while Washington continues to say it is working to finalize an agreement with Tehran and prevent further escalation of tensions in the region.

🔻یک مقام آمریکایی به رسانه‌های این کشور گفته است که ارتش ایالات متحده در حملات شبانه اسرائیل به ایران هیچ نقشی نداشته است.

نشریه آکسیوس به نقل از یک مقام وزارت دفاع آمریکا گزارش داده که این حملات اسرائیل «نسبتا محدود» بوده است.

این گزارش در حالی منتشر می‌شود که دونالد ترامپ، رئیس جمهور آمریکا، پیش از حملات از بنیامین نتانیاهو، نخست‌وزیر اسرائیل، خواسته بود در بحبوحه تلاش‌های دیپلماتیک جاری از اقدام تلافی جویانه علیه ایران خودداری کند.

آکسیوس پیش‌تر گزارش داده بود که آقای نتانیاهو به صورت غیررسمی یا به تعبیر این رسانه «تلویحا موافقت کرده بود» که این درخواست ترامپ را بپذیرد.

حملات شبانه اسرائیل ساعاتی پس از شلیک موشک‌های ایران به شمال اسرائیل انجام شد و در حالی صورت گرفت که واشنگتن همچنان می‌گوید در تلاش برای نهایی کردن توافقی با تهران و جلوگیری از تشدید بیشتر تنش‌ها در منطقه است.
