"Ismail Baqai," the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic, in his first press conference following Iran's attacks on Israel, stated that the events of the past hours will exacerbate the existing distrust between Tehran and Washington.

Baqai mentioned in his press conference that the exchange of messages between Iran and the U.S. has so far taken place in an atmosphere filled with distrust, and according to him, the ceasefire has been "continuously and repeatedly" violated by the other side. He emphasized that the Islamic Republic will take action whenever it deems necessary to defend the "security of the country."

The spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also held the U.S. responsible for the recent developments in the region, stating that Israel does not take action without coordination with Washington. According to him, the U.S. State Department considers support for Israel as the main reason for the war against Iran, and the Islamic Republic is aware of the complete cooperation and coordination of the U.S. Central Command, CENTCOM, with Israel in defensive and offensive areas.

Baqai referred to the ceasefire agreement of April 8 and held the U.S. responsible for any violations of it, stating that the consequences of escalating tensions in the region will fall on Washington.

He also criticized "Rafael Grossi," the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, stating that if a resolution against Iran is passed in the Agency's Board of Governors, Tehran will respond "appropriately."

«اسماعیل بقایی»، سخنگوی وزارت امور خارجه جمهوری اسلامی، در نخستین کنفرانس خبری خود پس از آغاز حملات ایران به اسراییل گفت که اتفاقات ساعات‌ گذشته، به بی‌اعتمادی موجود میان تهران و واشنگتن دامن خواهد زد.

بقایی در نشست خبری خود گفت تبادل پیام میان ایران و آمریکا تاکنون در فضایی لبریز از بی‌اعتمادی انجام شده و به گفته او، آتش‌بس نیز «به طور مستمر و مکرر» از سوی طرف مقابل نقض شده است. او تاکید کرد جمهوری اسلامی هر زمان که لازم بداند برای دفاع از «امنیت کشور» اقدام خواهد کرد.

سخنگوی وزارت امور خارجه همچنین آمریکا را مسوول تحولات اخیر منطقه دانست و گفت اسراییل بدون هماهنگی با واشنگتن اقدامی انجام نمی‌دهد.
به گفته او، وزارت خارجه آمریکا حمایت از اسراییل را دلیل اصلی جنگ علیه ایران دانسته و جمهوری اسلامی از همکاری و هماهنگی کامل فرماندهی مرکزی ارتش آمریکا، سنتکام، با اسراییل در حوزه‌های دفاعی و تهاجمی اطلاع دارد.

بقایی با اشاره به تفاهم آتش‌بس ۱۹ فروردین، آمریکا را مسوول هرگونه نقض آن دانست و گفت پیامدهای تشدید تنش در منطقه متوجه واشنگتن خواهد بود.

او همچنین از «رافائل گروسی»، مدیرکل آژانس بین‌المللی انرژی اتمی، انتقاد کرد و گفت در صورت تصویب قطعنامه‌ای علیه ایران در شورای حکام آژانس، تهران «پاسخ مناسب» خواهد داد.
