Donald Trump, the President of the United States, announced during a conversation with reporters on Monday night while returning from New York to Washington that the United States is very close to reaching a very good, solid, and powerful agreement with the Islamic Republic.

Trump, dismissing the existence of any major points of contention in the negotiations, said, "If you want to know the truth, we have a good chance, and we should be able to finalize the agreement within an hour."

The U.S. President, preferring a diplomatic solution over military options, warned that bombing Iran at this time would come at the cost of countless lives and the closure of the Strait of Hormuz for months, completely eliminating the opportunity for an agreement.

Emphasizing the success of Washington's strategy, he added, "The final signed document will be more effective than bombing. It has been proven that a naval blockade is a very powerful lever and has acted much stronger than bombing." Trump concluded by noting that the combination of initial aggression and blockade has dealt a severe blow to Iran's economy.

دونالد ترامپ، رئیس‌جمهوری آمریکا، دوشنبه شب هنگام بازگشت از نیویورک به واشنگتن، در گفتگو با خبرنگاران اعلام کرد که ایالات متحده به دستیابی به یک توافق بسیار خوب، محکم و قدرتمند با جمهوری اسلامی بسیار نزدیک شده است.

ترامپ با رد وجود هرگونه نقطه اختلاف بزرگ در مذاکرات، گفت: «اگر بخواهید حقیقت را بدانید، شانس خوبی داریم و باید بتوانیم ظرف یک ساعت توافق را نهایی کنیم.»

رئیس‌جمهوری آمریکا با ترجیح راهکار دیپلماتیک بر گزینه نظامی هشدار داد که بمباران ایران در مقطع کنونی، به قیمت جان انسان‌های بی‌شمار و بسته‌شدن چندماهه تنگه هرمز تمام خواهد شد و فرصت توافق را کاملا از بین می‌برد.

او با تاکید بر موفقیت راهبرد واشنگتن افزود: «سند امضاشده نهایی، کارسازتر از بمباران خواهد بود. ثابت شده که محاصره دریایی اهرم بسیار قدرتمندی است و بسیار قوی‌تر از بمباران عمل کرده است.» ترامپ در پایان اشاره کرد که ترکیب تهاجم اولیه و محاصره، ضربه سختی به اقتصاد ایران وارد کرده است.
