Donald Trump, the President of the United States, stated in a phone conversation on Tuesday with the Wall Street Journal that the severe effects of sanctions have made Iran "very poor," and Washington will maintain the maritime blockade of Iranian ports for as long as necessary.
Trump also downplayed the recent incident of the crash of an American Apache helicopter, saying it was "not a big deal" and emphasized that "the pilot is fine."
According to a CENTCOM report, the occupants of the Apache spent two hours in the darkness on the water before being rescued, and a senior U.S. official described their escape from the incident as a miracle akin to "the hand of God."

The Wall Street Journal reported that the helicopter crash incident in the Strait of Hormuz was "insignificant" to Trump.
This comes as Trump previously emphasized on Truth Social that "the United States must inevitably respond to this attack."

ترامپ همچنین با کوچک جلوه دادن حادثه سقوط اخیر هلیکوپتر آپاچی آمریکا گفت این اتفاق «مسئله چندان مهمی نبود» و تأکید کرد که «حال خلبان خوب است».
بر اساس گزارش سنتکام، سرنشینان این آپاچی پیش از نجات، دو ساعت را در تاریکی شب روی آب سپری کردند و یک مقام ارشد آمریکایی فرار آن‌ها از این سانحه را معجزه‌ای همچون «دست خدا» توصیف کرده است.

وال‌استریت ژورنال نوشت که حادثه سرنگونی بالگرد آپاچی در تنگه هرمز برای ترامپ «کم اهمیت» بوده است.
این در حالی است که پیش‌تر ترامپ در تروث سوشال تاکید کرد که «ایالات متحده ناگزیر باید به این حمله پاسخ دهد.»
