The Islamic Association of Students at Sharif University of Technology announced in a statement the implementation of the first expulsion order for a student by the university's disciplinary council.

Accordingly, Reza Dalman, a master's student in computer engineering, has been sentenced to expulsion and a four-year ban from studying at all universities.

The Islamic Association of Students at Sharif University stated that Mr. Dalman, despite being acquitted by the judiciary, has faced this heavy sentence from the university's disciplinary council. The association reminded that the expulsion order for the aforementioned student has been sent to the Ministry of Science for approval, and in recent days, at least one other student has also received a "preliminary expulsion" order.

Reza Dalman was arrested by security agencies on March 18, 2025, during the peak of the 40-day war and was released on bail after a month.

Earlier reports indicated that one of the reasons for his arrest was hanging a mouse doll from a tree in the university grounds; an action that was carried out in the protest atmosphere of that time, referencing a nickname that some protesters used for Ali Khamenei.

انجمن اسلامی دانشجویان دانشگاه صنعتی شریف با صدور اطلاعیه ‌ای از اعمال نخستین حکم اخراج یک دانشجو توسط شورای انضباطی این دانشگاه خبر داد.

به این ترتیب، رضا دالمن، دانشجوی کارشناسی ارشد مهندسی کامپیوتر، به اخراج و محرومیت از تحصیل در تمام دانشگاه‌ها به مدت چهار سال محکوم شده است.

انجمن اسلامی دانشجویان دانشگاه صنعتی شریف اعلام کرد که آقای دالمن با وجود تبرئه از سوی دستگاه قضایی، از سوی شورای انضباطی دانشگاه با این حکم سنگین روبه‌رو شده است.
این انجمن یادآور شد که حکم اخراج دانشجوی فوق برای تأیید به وزارت علوم ارسال و در روزهای اخیر نیز حداقل برای یک دانشجوی دیگر نیز حکم «بدوی اخراج» صادر شده است.
رضا دالمن، در ۲۸ اسفند سال ۱۴۰۴ و در اوج جنگ ۴۰ روزه از سوی نهادهای امنیتی بازداشت و پس از یک ماه با قرار وثیقه آزاد شده بود.

پیش‌تر گزارش‌هایی منتشر شده بود که یکی از دلایل بازداشت او، آویختن یک عروسک موش از درختی در محوطه دانشگاه عنوان شده بود؛ اقدامی که در فضای اعتراضی آن زمان، با اشاره به لقبی که برخی معترضان برای علی خامنه‌ای به‌کار می‌بردند، انجام شده بود.
