Iranian media and officials reported on Saturday that several Iranian banks experienced simultaneous service disruptions, which continued into the afternoon.

ISNA news agency announced that "National Bank, Trade Bank, Export Bank, and Pasargad Bank" were among those whose mobile banking and ATMs were affected.

Fars news agency wrote that the "Export Development Bank" also faced similar disruptions and added that "some sources have reported the possibility of a cyber attack, but no official has confirmed or denied this so far."

A few hours later, Alireza Gheitasi, the secretary of the Coordination Council of State Banks, stated in an interview with state television that "the resolution of the disruptions in the services of National Bank, Export Bank, Trade Bank, and Export Development Bank is underway," without providing details about the reasons for the incident.

Attacks on Iran's banking network have a history in recent years, with customer information from various Iranian banks repeatedly targeted by cyber breaches and sold in the online space.

رسانه‌ها و مقام‌های ایرانی روز شنبه خبر دادند که خدمات چند بانک ایرانی به شکل همزمان دچار مشکل شده و این اختلال تا بعدازظهر همچنان ادامه دارد.

خبرگزاری ایسنا اعلام کرد که «بانک‌های ملی، تجارت، صادرات و پاسارگاد» از جمله بانک‌هایی بودند که همراه‌بانک و دستگاه‌های خودپرداز آنها مختل شده است.

خبرگزاری فارس در این‌باره نوشت بانک «توسعه صادرات» نیز اختلال مشابهی دارد و افزود که «برخی منابع از احتمال وقوع حمله سایبری خبر داده‌اند، اما تاکنون هیچ مقام رسمی این موضوع را تأیید یا رد نکرده است».

ساعتی بعد علیرضا قیطاسی، دبیر شورای هماهنگی بانک‌های دولتی در گفت‌وگو با صداوسیما بدون اشاره به جزئیات درباره دلایل این اتفاق گفت: «رفع اختلال از خدمات بانک‌های ملی، صادرات، تجارت و توسعه صادرات در دست انجام است.»

حملات به شبکه بانکی ایران در سال‌های اخیر سابقه دارد و بارها اطلاعات مشتریان بانک‌های مختلف ایران هدف رخنهٔ سایبری قرار گرفته و در فضای مجازی و اینترنت خرید و فروش شده است.
