Trump's Strange Insistence on Signing an Agreement with Iran on Sunday and a Test for the Negotiating Team

🔹A few hours ago, Donald Trump, the President of the United States, reiterated that the "memorandum of understanding" with Iran will be signed on Sunday. This comes despite Iranian negotiating officials explicitly stating that the agreement is not finalized and will definitely not take place on Sunday.

🔹Notably, Sunday coincides with June 14, Trump's birthday. Some observers speculate that he is insisting on this to symbolically leverage the occasion and turn it into a promotional event for himself.

🔹However, given the clear positions of Iranian officials regarding the non-finality of the agreement, it seems that our negotiating officials are aware of these hidden layers and will not allow such a media and ceremonial maneuver. From this perspective, the fate of the signing on Sunday will not only be a technical test for the content of the agreement but also a test of the honesty and resilience of Iranian officials against superficial pressures.

Axios news website, citing informed sources, reported that the reason for the video signing of the agreement between the U.S. and the Islamic Republic is "executive and logistical considerations" and the inability of G.D. Vance to travel to Pakistan.

Axios wrote that one of the main reasons for the video signing of the agreement between the U.S. and the Islamic Republic is that Vance, if he traveled to sign the agreement, would not be able to return to the U.S. before Trump's departure to attend the G7 summit in France on Monday morning.

🔹ساعاتی پیش، دونالد ترامپ، رئیس‌جمهور آمریکا، بار دیگر تأکید کرد که «یادداشت تفاهم» با ایران روز یکشنبه امضا خواهد شد. این در حالی است که مسئولان مذاکره‌کننده ایرانی صراحتاً اعلام کرده بودند که تفاهم هنوز نهایی نشده و یکشنبه قطعاً انجام نمی‌شود.

🔹نکته قابل تأمل، همزمانی یکشنبه با چهاردهم ژوئن، روز تولد ترامپ است. برخی ناظران احتمال می‌دهند او با این اصرار در پی آن است که از این مناسبت بهره‌برداری نمادین کرده و آن را به یک رویداد تبلیغاتی برای خود تبدیل کند.

🔹اما با توجه به مواضع شفاف مقامات ایرانی مبنی بر نهایی نبودن توافق، به نظر می‌رسد مسئولان مذاکره‌کننده کشورمان متوجه این لایه‌های پنهان هستند و اجازه چنین مانور رسانه‌ای و تشریفاتی‌ای را نخواهند داد. از این زاویه، سرنوشت امضای یکشنبه نه فقط یک آزمون فنی برای محتوای تفاهم، بلکه آزمونی برای صداقت و ایستادگی مسئولان ایرانی در برابر فشارهای نمایشی نیز خواهد بود.

وب‌سایت خبری اکسیوس به نقل از منابع آگاه نوشت که دلیل امضای ویدیویی توافق آمریکا و جمهوری اسلامی، «ملاحظات اجرایی و لجستیکی» و عدم امکان سفر جی‌دی‌ونس به پاکستان است.

اکسیوس نوشت که یکی از دلایل اصلی امضای ویدیویی توافق آمریکا و جمهوری اسلامی این است که ونس در صورت سفر برای امضای توافق، نمی‌توانست قبل از عزیمت ترامپ برای شرکت در اجلاس گروه ۷ در فرانسه در صبح دوشنبه به آمریکا بازگردد.
