While reports from inside Iran indicate that the review of the text of the agreement is ongoing and the timing of its signing remains unclear, Reuters reported on Sunday that the Trump administration has agreed to release $25 billion of Iran's frozen assets as part of the agreement.

Reuters cited its report from a "senior official" in the Islamic Republic but did not name them.

According to the Reuters source, the U.S. government has also agreed to dilute Iran's highly enriched uranium within the country.

These are two of the most contentious issues in the ongoing negotiations between Iran and the U.S.: Trump has repeatedly emphasized the need to take, transfer, or eliminate Iran's 60% enriched uranium while also stating multiple times that he would not give any money to Iran.

The issue of giving money to the Iranian government has been particularly sensitive for Donald Trump, as he has long criticized Barack Obama for agreeing to transfer money to Tehran during the negotiations leading to the so-called JCPOA.

در حالی که خبرها از داخل ایران اشاره به ادامه بررسی متن تفاهم‌نامه و نامشخص بودن زمان امضای آن دارد، خبرگزاری رویترز روز یک‌شنبه نوشت که دولت دونالد ترامپ در تفاهم‌نامه با آزاد کردن ۲۵ میلیارد دلار از دارایی‌های مسدود ایران موافقت کرده است.

رویترز خبر خود را به نقل از «مقامی ارشد» در جمهوری اسلامی نوشته، اما به نام او اشاره نکرده است.

به گفته منبع رویترز، دولت آمریکا همچنین موافقت کرده است که اورانیوم بسیار غنی‌شده ایران در داخل کشور رقیق شود.

این‌ها دو مورد از بحث‌انگیزترین موضوعات در مذاکرات جاری میان ایران و آمریکا بوده است: ترامپ بارها بر لزوم گرفتن یا انتقال یا از بین بردن اورانیوم ۶۰ درصد غنی‌شده ایران تأکید کرده و همزمان بارها گفته است که پولی به ایران نخواهد داد.

مسئله دادن پول به حکومت ایران به‌ویژه برای دونالد ترامپ حساسیت‌برانگیز بوده است،‌ چرا که او خود سال‌هاست به باراک اوباما تاخته که چرا در جریان رسیدن به توافق موسوم به برجام با انتقال پول به تهران موافقت کرده است.
