Masoud Pezeshkian, the President of Iran, in response to criticisms from some government supporters regarding the content of a potential agreement with the United States, stated on Sunday that the negotiation process is proceeding based on the resolutions of the Supreme National Security Council and the views of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic.

In a meeting with domestic media managers, he added: "Strategic decisions of the country must be made within the framework of legal mechanisms, and all factions and groups must consider themselves obligated to comply with these decisions."

On the verge of signing a memorandum of understanding between Iran and the U.S. to end the war, protests among hardline supporters of the government have escalated against a text that was published as a memorandum in some media, and gatherings have been held by a group of supporters of the Islamic Republic against this agreement and the negotiators.

In one of these gatherings in Tehran, protesters chanted slogans against Abbas Araghchi, the Foreign Minister, and Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, the Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly.

مسعود پزشکیان، رئیس‌جمهور ایران، در پی انتقادات برخی حامیان حکومت از محتوای توافق احتمالی با آمریکا، روز یکشنبه گفت که روند مذاکرات بر اساس مصوبات شورای عالی امنیت ملی و دیدگاه‌های رهبر جمهوری اسلامی پیش می‌رود.

او در دیدار با مدیران رسانه‌های داخلی افزود: «تصمیمات راهبردی کشور باید در چارچوب سازوکارهای قانونی اتخاذ شود و همه جریان‌ها و گروه‌ها نیز خود را ملزم به تبعیت از این تصمیمات بدانند.»

در آستانهٔ امضای تفاهم‌نامهٔ ایران و آمریکا برای پایان جنگ، اعتراض‌ در میان حامیان تندروی حکومت به متنی که به‌عنوان تفاهم‌نامه در برخی رسانه‌ها منتشر شد بالا گرفته و تجمعاتی نیز توسط گروهی از طرفداران جمهوری اسلامی علیه این تفاهم و مذاکره‌کنندگان برگزار شده است.

در یکی از این تجمعات در تهران، تجمع‌کنندگان علیه عباس عراقچی، وزیر خارجه، و محمدباقر قالیباف، رئیس مجلس شورای اسلامی، شعارهایی سر دادند.
