The U.S. Vice President says that the memorandum of understanding between Iran and the U.S. will be signed on Friday in the presence of Abbas Araghchi and Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf in Switzerland.

JD Vance stated that "many details of the agreement are still unresolved," but the U.S. expects that the Strait of Hormuz "will remain open without tolls in the long term."

However, a spokesperson for the Islamic Republic's Foreign Ministry has said that it is still unclear who will sign the memorandum on behalf of Iran.

Ismail Baqaei also emphasized that Iran "is not seeking to impose tolls," but will "charge for the cost of providing services."

معاون رئیس‌جمهور آمریکا می‌گوید تفاهم‌نامه ایران و آمریکا روز جمعه در حضور عباس عراقچی و محمد‌باقر قالیباف در سوئیس امضا خواهد شد.

جی‌دی ونس گفت که «جزئیات زیادی از توافق هنوز حل‌و‌فصل نشده است» اما آمریکا انتظار دارد که تنگه هرمز «در درازمدت بدون عوارض باز باشد.»

سخنگوی وزارت خارجه جمهوری اسلامی اما گفته است که هنوز مشخص نیست که چه کسی از جانب ایران تفاهمنامه را امضا می‌کند.

اسماعیل بقایی همچنین تاکید کرد که ایران «به‌دنبال گرفتن عوارض نیست» اما «هزینه ارائه خدمات» را دریافت خواهد کرد.
