Donald Trump, the President of the United States, criticized Benjamin Netanyahu's military approach towards Lebanon during a meeting with the Emir of Qatar on the sidelines of the G7 summit in Évian, France.
Trump referred to Israel's airstrike on Beirut, which occurred just two hours before the signing of a ceasefire agreement with the Islamic Republic of Iran, calling it "blind and aimless." He stated, "I made it clear to them that I am not at all pleased with this action. You don't need to level an apartment to kill one person; there are many people there, and not all of them are Hezbollah."
The U.S. President noted that Israel has been fighting Hezbollah for a long time, resulting in many casualties, and suggested that control of this group should be handed over to Syria. Praising the performance of Bashar al-Assad, the President of Syria, in quickly organizing his country, he said, "He came to power with my and Erdogan's participation. He doesn't like Hezbollah and will handle this better; if Israel can't finish the job without killing others, Syria will do it."

دونالد ترامپ، رئیسجمهوری آمریکا، در حاشیه نشست سران گروه هفت (G7) در اویان فرانسه و در دیدار با امیر قطر، از رویکرد نظامی بنیامین نتانیاهو در قبال لبنان انتقاد کرد.
ترامپ با اشاره به حمله هوایی اسرائیل به بیروت، درست دو ساعت پیش از امضای توافق آتشبس با جمهوری اسلامی ایران، آن را «کور و بیهدف» خواند و گفت: «به آنها فهماندم که اصلا از این کار راضی نیستم. برای کشتن یک نفر لازم نیست یک آپارتمان را با خاک یکسان کنید؛ آدمهای زیادی آنجا هستند که همهشان حزبالله نیستند.»
رئیسجمهوری آمریکا با بیان اینکه اسرائیل زمان زیادی است که با حزبالله میجنگد و افراد زیادی کشته میشوند، پیشنهاد داد که کنترل این گروه به سوریه واگذار شود.
ترامپ با تمجید از عملکرد احمد الشرع، رئیسجمهوری سوریه در ساماندهی سریع این کشور گفت: «او با مشارکت من و اردوغان روی کار آمد. او از حزبالله خوشش نمیآید و این کار را بهتر انجام میدهد؛ اگر اسرائیل نمیتواند بدون کشتن دیگران کار را تمام کند، سوریه این کار را خواهد کرد.»
