JD Vance, the Deputy of Donald Trump, who will sign a peace agreement with Iran in Switzerland on Friday, stated that the essence of this initial agreement can be summarized in one sentence: if Iran fulfills its commitments under this agreement, the United States is ready to create conditions for this country to return to the global economy.

Mr. Vance said in an interview with Sirius XM radio on Tuesday: "Donald Trump never said that the goal of his actions is to empower Reza Pahlavi in Iran. What he said is that if the people of Iran have risen up and stood against their government, that's very good, but what he wants is to ensure the oversight of Iran's nuclear activities, whether through diplomacy or through war, which ultimately the latter occurred." 06:21

The U.S. Vice President also emphasized that the demands of Mr. Trump's critics for continuing the war with Iran are "not aligned and never have been" with what Donald Trump has always promised the American people and intends to implement.

Mr. Vance reiterated several times in this interview that the economic benefits Iran will receive "will in no way" be paid from American resources and assets, but rather, if Iran cooperates and fulfills all the terms of the agreement, the U.S. will provide "opportunities" for investment in Iran by lifting sanctions.

جی‌دی ونس، معاون دونالد ترامپ که روز جمعه در سوئیس تفاهم‌نامه پایان جنگ با ایران را امضاء خواهد کرد، گفته مفاد این توافق اولیه در یک جمله چنین خلاصه می‌شود که اگر ایران به تعهدات خود در چارچوب این توافق عمل کند ایالات متحده آماده فراهم کردن زمینه برای بازگشت این کشور به صحنه اقتصاد جهانی است.

آقای ونس روز سه‌شنبه در گفت‌و‌گو شبکه رادیویی سیروس ایکس‌ام گفت: «دونالد ترامپ هرگز نگفت که هدف اقدامات او به قدرت رساندن رضا پهلوی در ایران است. آنچه گفت این بود که اگر مردم ایران بپا خواسته‌اند و مقابل حکومت خود ایستاده‌اند، خیلی هم خوب است اما آنچه او می‌خواهد اطمینان یافتن از فعالیت‌های هسته‌ای ایران است چه از طریق دیپلماتیک و چه از طریق جنگ که خب در نهایت راه دوم روی داد». 06:21

معاون رئیس جمهور آمریکا همچنین تصریح کرد که خواسته منتقدان آقای ترامپ مبنی بر ادامه جنگ با ایران با آن چه دونالد ترامپ به مردم آمریکا همیشه وعده داده و قصد اجرای آن را دارد، «همسو نبوده و نیست.»

آقای ونس در این مصاحبه چند بار تاکید کرد که آنچه به لحاظ اقتصادی ایران از آن منتفع خواهد شد «به هیچ وجه» از منابع و دارایی‌های آمریکا پرداخت نخواهد شد بلکه در صورت همکاری ایران و اجرای همه مفاد توافق، آمریکا با رفع تحریم‌ها به سرمایه‌گذاری در ایران «فرصت» خواهد داد.
