Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, the Speaker of the Islamic Republic's Parliament and head of the Islamic Republic's negotiating team with the United States, emphasized the importance of economic relations with China, stating that the Islamic Republic must move beyond confrontation and focus on economic development.

In a brainstorming session with the special representative for China and the Iran Chamber of Commerce, Qalibaf said: "We must take the position from the launcher kids, relieve the people from economic pressure, and build the country."

Describing China's position as a "unique" country for the Islamic Republic in trade, he added that Beijing must believe that Tehran is a "partner in every sense" for China.

The Speaker of the Islamic Republic's Parliament stated that any bloc formed with the presence of the Gulf Coast countries will definitely center around "China and the Islamic Republic."

محمدباقر قالیباف، رییس مجلس جمهوری اسلامی و رییس هیات مذاکره‌کننده جمهوری اسلامی با آمریکا، درباره اهمیت روابط اقتصادی با چین گفت جمهوری اسلامی باید از مرحله تقابل عبور کند و بر توسعه اقتصادی متمرکز شود.

قالیباف در نشست همفکری نماینده ویژه در امور چین با اتاق بازرگانی ایران گفت: «باید سنگر را از بچه‌های لانچر تحویل بگیریم، مردم را از زیر فشار اقتصادی دربیاوریم و کشور را بسازیم.»

او با توصیف جایگاه چین به‌عنوان کشوری «منحصربه‌فرد» برای جمهوری اسلامی در حوزه تجارت، افزود پکن باید باور کند که تهران «شریکی به تمام معنا» برای چین است.

رییس مجلس جمهوری اسلامی گفت هر بلوکی که با حضور کشورهای ساحلی خلیج فارس شکل بگیرد، محوریت آن «حتما چین و جمهوری اسلامی» خواهد بود.
