The spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic announced on Wednesday the possibility of a peace agreement being signed by the presidents of Iran and the United States, stating that this matter is "currently under consideration."

According to media outlets close to the Iranian government, Ismail Baqaei commented on the potential signing of a memorandum of understanding by Masoud Pezeshkian and Donald Trump, saying: "This idea has been raised and is still being examined."

Previously, Iranian and American parties had reported that JD Vance, the U.S. Vice President, and Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, the Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, would sign this memorandum in Switzerland.

The Swiss government confirmed that the signing ceremony will take place at the mountain residence of Bürgenstock.

سخنگوی وزارت خارجه جمهوری اسلامی روز چهارشنبه از احتمال امضای توافق پایان جنگ توسط روسای جمهوری ایران و آمریکا خبر داد و گفت این مسئله «در حالی بررسی است».

به گزارش رسانه‌های نزدیک به حکومت ایران، اسماعیل بقائی درباره احتمال امضای یادداشت تفاهم از سوی مسعود پزشکیان و دونالد ترامپ اعلام کرد: «این ایده مطرح است و همچنان در حال بررسی است.»

پیش از این طرف‌های ایرانی و آمریکایی خبر داده بودند جی‌دی ونس، معاون رئیس‌جمهور آمریکا، و محمدباقر قالیباف، رئیس مجلس شورای اسلامی، در سوئیس این تفاهم‌نامه را امضا خواهند کرد.

دولت سوئیس تأیید کرد مراسم امضای این تفاهم در اقامتگاه کوهستانی بورگن‌اشتوک برگزار خواهد شد.
