Diplomatic sources in Pakistan stated that the planned visit of Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif to Switzerland has been canceled. These sources claimed that since the memorandum of understanding between Islamabad was signed by the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the head of the United States government, the Pakistani side was informed that there is now no need for an in-person meeting in Switzerland.

منابع دیپلماتیک پاکستان گفتند که سفر برنامه ریزی شده شهباز شریف نخست وزیر این کشور به سوئیس لغو شده است.
این منابع مدعی شدند که از آنجایی که یادداشت تفاهم اسلام‌آباد از سوی رئیس جمهوری اسلامی ایران و رئیس دولت ایالات متحده به امضا رسیده است، به طرف پاکستانی اعلام شد ‌که اکنون نیازی به برگزاری نشست حضوری در سوئیس نیست.
