The Associated Press reported that Steve Witkoff, Donald Trump's envoy, announced in a closed meeting with American lawmakers on Thursday night that Tehran will invite the International Atomic Energy Agency to inspect its nuclear facilities and will begin the process of identifying the location of enriched materials.
According to the report, Witkoff told congressional leaders and members of the national security committees that the memorandum of understanding between the U.S. and Iran had no side agreements. However, Tehran and the International Atomic Energy Agency have drafted a separate letter in which the invitation for agency inspectors and the continuation of oversight cooperation are mentioned.
